June 5, 2013 - Yellowstone - Old Faithful loop

It's hard to put into words the sights we have seen today.  Every stop we make is more breathtaking that the one before.

West Thumb Geyser Basin is filled with the most amazing pools of aquas, yellows, oranges, greens and reds.

We arrive at Old Faithful just in time for the 10:29 eruption.  It actually happened at 10:35 and I thing I have videoed the whole thing only to find out that I didn't press the on button.  No worries as it is scheduled to erupt again at 12:02.  This time my battery goes dead.  Think goodness for Ricky's iPhone as he did video the whole thing.

While wating for the 12:02 we were able to hook up with a tour of the hotel whcih was built in 1904.  It's constucted of lodgepole pine and it's huge.  The lobby is 6 stories high and our tour guide tells us the stories of the fancy dining and dancing that took place there in the early 1900's.

North of Old Faithful, we stop at, Black Sand Basin, Buscuit Basin, Midway Geyser Basin and Lower Geyser Basin.  The whole area of Yellowstone contains the largest collecion of geysers in the world.
