Our first stop is at the mud volcano area including Sulphur Caldren.

We could have touched him |
Next is the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. I'ts not as big as the Grand Canyon in Arizona but it's just as grand. The colours are incredible.

we hiked 600 vertical feet down to the falls (and back up!!) |

We then headed west toward Norris and then north to Mamoth stopping several times along the way.

Lunch in Mamoth and a look at the terraces. Pictures just don't tell the story but I've done my best.
a 25 foot mound of mineral deposits |
it looks like a moonscape |
We decided to head for the north entrance to the park to Gardiner, Montana where the Roosevelt Arch stands. After a catch up with internet in a little cafe/pharmacy there, we drove to Tower-Roosevelt and Tower Falls. We have started seeing more wildlife along the road back to Canyon Village.

We went over Dunraven Pass at 8860 feet and saw some spectacular vews of Mt. Washburn.

We contined back home to a dinner of BC salmon, rice and grilled veggies and finished the evening with a couple of episodes of Mrs. Brown's Boys. LOL
